Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Systems Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing fire alarm systems, encompassing control panels, detectors, and notification devices. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and reliability of fire detection systems for our clients.

 

*Starting pay range $32.00+ per hour, based on experience and knowledge*


Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive testing of fire alarm and Clean Agent Suppression systems, covering initiating devices, notification appliances, and control panels.
  • Perform troubleshooting and efficient repair of Fire Alarm and Clean Agent suppression systems to minimize downtime.
  • Generate detailed reports documenting testing procedures and service activities.
  • Inspect and maintain heat detectors and sprinkler heads to uphold system integrity.
  • Review and interpret electrical layout blueprints to facilitate installations and repairs.
  • Regularly inspect and test fire alarm systems to guarantee optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
  • Execute any additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred, with a solid understanding of system components.
  • Proficiency in basic and advanced math skills essential for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills combined with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and coordinate tasks effectively.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Thorough attention to detail to ensure all system components function correctly and reliably.
  • OSHA certification is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to safety protocols.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members alike.

 

 


Estimated Salary/Wage

USD $32.00/Hr.
